this week i collapsed into the age old stereotype of every event planner - peaked at the event, and then spent the following night in bed with a migraine. needless to say, it wasn't particularly productive. nevertheless, i still found some awesomeness to get me through the week.

this week saw: helen mirren twerking (oh dear - none of us will ever be that good at that age); this piece on what life is actually like - and, i suppose, moreso on the realities of sharing true life on the internet; miley cyrus actually started spouting some very well founded advice; what the new year holds for all of us, in the year of the horse; two of my faves, CLEARLY totally understand super bowl (oh man i can't wait for sunday) (sorry for the buzzfeed overload).

this quiz that tells me what i should be doing with my life (despite having a tough time deciding between sports film and documentary - what am i doing with my liiiiiiife??). turns out, i should be an astronaut. only if i get to have that hair.

being a spike jonze fan (HUGE fan) (apparently not) and only finding out NOW that jonze is the star (and director - which i guess is cool if you're into that sort of thing) in this ground breaking dance mega hit. also worthy of noting - this was filmed at a time when no one had cells, cameras on them, etc. dancing your ass off for the sake of pleasing the public. apparently that's what the torrance community dance group was all about.
