this weekend is a blessing - i'm learning to take action in things i've been putting off for a long long time. i'm tying some things up at work, and executing on some upcoming excitment. all of which will lead to my impeding departure on vacation in A WEEK. i'm shaking in anticipation. i haven't been this excited for vacation in a long long time. it's going to be amazing. and until then, it's preperation. lots.
this weekend will also involve some art gallery, some dumpling fest, some dinner with old friends (one visiting from toronto - YAY). some potlucking, some fitness (bathing suit vacations - you know). all of the makings of a busy and great weekend.

with all that's going on with the olympics, it's still a moment in time for the world that allows us to enjoy what makes us humans. the mistakes, the power, the humour, the love. the sports (duh). and while I don't support the russian stance on.... well, much to be honest.... i support the people who have worked their whole lives to get to where they are in their sport. and, i support sport. which should come as no surprise. and what it gives to the lives of those who participate - both physically, and emotionally. both players and spectators. so, of course, this week i'm heavily anticipating olympic opening ceremonies (this morning) and the sports which are to follow.
